What: Author and national speaker Alan Korwin is widely recognized as a leading expert on America’s gun laws and has made over 1,000 radio and TV appearances. He was invited by the U.S. Supreme Court to attend oral arguments in both D.C. v. Heller, which led to his 11th book, The Heller Case, and McDonald v. Chicago. These cases affirmed the Second Amendment as an individual right, and as applicable to the states, respectively. This program will explore the threats to the safety of all Americans and will examine Arizona’s gun laws from the perspective of personal self-defense and defense of other people. How these hard facts should affect public policy, regarding street crime and recent school shootings, is one of the ultimate political questions of the day, addressed head-on in this no-holds-barred presentation.
